The BBC confirmed that its radio programs can now be accessed on-demand via the iPhone and iPod touch.
Radio amateurs can listen to radio up to seven days after its issuance. It is shown in MP3 format and are encoded at 128kb/s.
Mark Friend offcial said in a BBC blog that players must download the shows through iPlayer and over a Wi-Fi, but had made no specific reference to the iPhone 3G.
Friend added that the availability of the BBC radio on-demand for the iPhone and iPod touch users is through the organization of teams "of the media future", which has already adapted audio formats to suit devices Apple.
It was also noted that the BBC is planning to begin deployment of radio on-demand for other portable devices soon, but exactly which device is not mentioned.
